Desert Intervention
Only to my thoughts I pry
To leave me here to rot and die
The twinkling stars in the night sky
Allow this weary traveler rest
I realize trials happen to the best
I can't forgive the night's test
The stars in the night sky drest
As though they were made to shine
A presence waits from heaven divine
Who bore a scary resemblance to Frankenstein
I thought I met my deadline
Until he spoke as one would guide
A desperate attempt to live I cried
To let me live for inside
My village waits for me my beautiful bride
Well not yet but in August we wed
"If you want to make it out alive." He said
Look no farther than the tear you shed
Your own courage will guide you to the riverbed
There is no hurt when there's room to try
Only to my thoughts I pry
To leave me here to rot and die
The twinkling stars in the night sky
Will guide me back the way I came
