Desert Dreaming

In the desert I sleep, under the sun it creeps, slithering in the dune, Cresting waves in its wake, I dream crimson dreams, Of red light twisting, like a serpent it eases, on the earth it pleases, over my burning body, fangs strike plunging, forever desert dreaming.

Wow! Short but, awesome... wow! i just can't get over you hit my wows! with this poem. I myself enjoy metaphoric views. I first thought of a snake. But, this has to much night beauty to be slithery. Or maybe it is.. My best line that had me in wows! was ~~ i dream crimson dreams ~~ Right now I'm writing a poem about ** community dreams ** and i hope its as awesome as this.. thanks for sharing,..p.d. adding this to my favorite poems... And poets,... #1 take care,..Linda H.
