desert dessert
I’ve seen in dreams a blither me -
feet tanned and naked by the sea
and patient ‘midst two palmy trees
a hammock … nodding in the breeze
o dreams are rarely sweet as those
warm South Pacific ‘tween my toes
though should one Polynesian near
I’d dream her grass skirt short …
and sheer.
