Desert
I read and meaning escapes me
I ponder my own intellectual ability
Everything isn’t for everyone
Some love moon others prefer sun
Just as you may love lavender rain
As a release from your poetic pain
I look in the mirror and see
A reflection of indifference looking at me
Perhaps I really enjoy the friction
The journey more appealing than fruition
When I am honest about my life
I cut it up eat it like pecan pie
Because I may seem an introvert
But I dream of extrovert desert
