Desensitized
I sit stunned in silence.
At these images of horror, nature, and violence.
Unable to move as if in a trance.
I see if not total acceptance.
Then what I deem as TOO MUCH tolerance.
I along with the masses wait for the next tragic instance.
1,000 reported missing or dead.
With a slight smile and a toss of the head.
This is how the tragic news is read.
That this is "the norm" the swill we've been fed.
Each hour thousands will suffer...........and inevitability.
That this news will be delivered by a perky face.........a certainty.
5-min after its heard it becomes a memory casuality.
Sad more thought was given for the fall of a nations presidental morality.
To get to us all a tremendous ability.
How do we escape this travesty.
You alone hold the key.
For my fellow man can you not see.
Simply get up and turn off the T.V.
I urge you to allow your soul to be free.
You will breathe better almost instantly.
The blame lies on one entity.
The "MEDIA" is the root of our present calamity.
