Description

The lady with those eyes of green
Just to look at her one would know
That she was not really mean

Somehow when those eyes pierced
The distance between two
One knew, just knew

She had looked into your soul
Decerning your heart thoughts untold
Able to divide the soul and spirit

When she spoke her words were gold
One would not even know that they had been told
Until several days later searing flame would grow

Can't help ut wonder who this lady is and why she felt compelled to change her name. A very provocative write, Sara! Several days after my birth certificate was issued, my parents changed my name. They wanted to name me after a "Southern" state and originally chose "Marilyn" after Maryland. Then they decided to head further south to the Carolinas and changed the certificate to read Carolyn. Either would have been fine with me. Great poem, Sara! Love, Carolyn
