Depth Charge
Let me hear once more
Your trucks tires crunching along the drive
Your boots on the weathered planks of the porch
The suspenseful sound of your knuckles announcing
The sight of you leaned against the doors frame
Stooping as ushered inside
Your Cheshire cat smile mischievious and mild
And the mystery held within your eyes
I have swam their depth
I have sought conclusion knowing
Your infathomable serene calm surface
beckons me beneath the waves
