Depth
Looking into eyes
will not sight the soul.
The outward reflection
placid and cold.
Just as waters are calm
far as can be seen,
the under currents below,
brew differently.
Reaching soulful depths
hard to behold.
Navigating the difficult
deadly undertow.
In these depths
where all could be lost,
the soul of dignity and humanity
must be kept safe at all cost.
Only the most poignant aspects of man
could be harvested from
this dangerous fathom.
Showing the true sanctity
of the human spirit nestled away.
A hamlet of profound depth
the guardian to this day.
