Deprive Them, Not

There lays within the heart of the child, truth We, as adults, can either see it or refuse it But, in either case, we must know what it is To actually be able to decide which to choose Being able to recognize, identify, choose Means that there is possibility for mankind We must endure the weight for the children Let them not grieve in the silence of dark Let them smile within the sound of light And let them live free to be children

I love the line "let them live free to be children". Childhood is so brief and fleeting, and so precious. It's up to us to keep them free from the weight of the world as long as possible. Well done! Blessings~Carrie
