Depression Happens

Losing interest in things I enjoy.
Feeling worthless, hopeless and full of void.

Restless and feeling blue..
Don't care of what I have done or; will do.

Loosing the battle of sanity at times.
Thoughts of death and suicide lately on my mind.

Silently calling help, saddness is my foe..
Depression steals my happiness adding to my woes.

Apt desciption of the challenges of bipolar illness. Those that suffer from it should have our support not ridicule. Thank you for sharing your poem with us. Congratulations on having it featured. Karen

Congratulations Erin on "Bipolar Happens" being featured. An ongoing battle. One of my favorites, Connie Francis was bipolar. Some of my favorite kids I worked with were. Go from zero to sixty in seconds, stubborn but hearts of gold. Weathering the storms and trying to maintain an even keel is tough. God Bless. Go after your dreams. Vince
