Depression

They went to school.

I should have gone too.

I’m not a genius.

I’m just sad and lonely.

I’m not depressed though.

I’m too weird to be depressed.

I have trouble focusing.

I go on tangents.

I’m not a genius.

They went to school.

Who?

The people who aren’t my friends, anyway.

Dear Angelica, your poetic pen spills imagery of depression and angst with poignant expression. A very moving and potent piece, your last three line are "genius"! There is beauty in sadness and you have captured and conveyed this perfectly. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
