Depression
Do you know how depression feels,
You at the bottom of a hole with the vision of a mole.
No hate , or love, you reach out for God from above.
You hear encouraging words all around you,
That makes no sense, because your feelings are too dense.
You tried to grasp what they said but you just want to stay in bed.
Darkness fell upon you, day and night,
All you do is try is try to fight.
You know your way to reach for above, so that you can feel the love,
But all is vain because your thoughts are insane.
Blackness descend on you, it is all around and keeps you bound.
Fighting your way to the top, its’ now or never,
You know you can’t stop.
This hell you are in, you must try to win.
An empty feeling inside, you try to hide,
Away from friends and family,
That they must not see what you become, your feelings are numb.
A loss of an appetite and energy,
Is the new way of living, while inside you busy dying.
You fool yourself to say you will be ok, you try harder,
Depression is not going to make you are martyr.
Fighting to stay alive, you seek for help in a clinic,
So that your kids can stop panic.
It drains you to see them suffer, because of you,
And there is nothing you can do.
Do you know what depression is?
It is a dangerous beast.
