Depend On the Lord
dear Lord God envelop us in your merciful arms
and keep us safely from all physical harm
deliver us from living an existence shrouded in anxiety and fear
shield us from the invisible forces of evil that are always near
allow those whom we have hurt to forgive us our mistakes
show us how to forgive ourselves, no matter how long it takes
compel us to see the joy that comes each and every day
reassure us that when we feel useless, everything will be okay
remind us that when we think we have nothing
when in fact we have more than most
anoint us with your grace and mercy
and the Spirit of the Holy Ghost
push us to exceed beyond our own expectations
and may we rely upon Your strength to give us confirmation
You gave us love, power, a sound mind and a measure of control
we no longer seek the approval of society
we depend on You to realize our goals
