Departing
Dear my lovely friends,
If you are reading this, then please don’t fret over me
Knowing you guys, you're probably already panicking
But I advise you to continue reading, as I’m going to explain everything
But before I start, I owe everyone an apology
You see, I have been lying to you all this time
My job has been draining me emotionally and mentally every day
And I didn’t want to make you worried about me
As I know you already have much on your plate
And what kind of friend would I be if I added to it?
A terrible one on my end, so I had to fib
I hope that you can forgive me for it
When you are telling me about your exciting news
Or reading it on social media
I can’t deny that a part of me dies on the inside
Because you are building yourself a happy future
As for me, I was feeling trapped in my job that goes nowhere
And so out of the blue, I decided to venture on a journey
Where am I going? I haven’t gotten a clue about it
But that is the fun part of all this for me
As I get to discover things about myself I never knew
So with that being said
I wish you adieu
