Demon's Spell

Feeling the shadow
     of darkness
  upon us
       We now know
that we have been
       caught
in a demon's spell
  The sunlight is blocked
         by dark clouds
and no sounds of
  childish laughter
reaches us
Our hopes for a new dawn
  are fading
as we feel the chill
   late October winds
in our very bones
Where can an answer
       come from?
Who can hear us now ?
Seems like shining lights
   will not be able
to cut through the blackened air
Yet we continue to hope
  That someone, somehow
Can break the spell
Let us live freely once more

And we will, Matthew, it is our destiny. It is always darkest before dawn. Very well written, thanks for sharing. Peace and love, Caroline.

yes, yes, this is the gloom I often feel, Matt. Is it what you are feeling now? My hour to be here almost gone. DRATS. Can't wait for hubbie to find another job so my life can resume to normal. He needs the computer a lot now for job searches!!
