Demon Blue

Demons cloaked in blue
Follow me, as I follow you
Tangled in a tangled web
Blurry eyed from the blinding lights
Of hearts set on fire
The darkness pursues me
Like an unfamiliar foe
Until I come toe-to-toe
With my better half
Tongue tied
Frightened by what I cannot see
Like a star without a spark
I'm left to venture in the dark
Lost in a peculiar city
Trying to understand my place
Until I fall fast asleep
And dream of you
I'll never see your face.
