Democracy Override

Beneath thy hills the statutes arose

Leaning slowly as the wind does blow

Topiaries swaying toward thy regime

Cutting down thy swaying trees

They aboard thy land as if a ship sailed

Thy indigent souls cried for help

Sounding of screams and wails

Thy union set out to override the base

Children and parents holding thy face

Thy face of God thy children held

Hoping for freedom to be weld

Suffrage became thy new born trees
On the land of control, for it was a disease
