Deluge of My Words

I was lost in corridors of my mind
as words flooded in.
I had no Ark and couldn't swim.
I thought I'd drown.

The deluge carried me past doors,
cracked open just a bit.
Not wide enough to enter,
and there was no turning back.

Flood waters rose higher
and I began to float
on the deluge of my words that
in Noah's Day was meant to kill.

I really loved your take on the theme Marti - Noah's ark and a deluge of words - VERY clever indeed - good luck in the contest - you have inspired me to write but not for the contest:-) hugs jan xx

An interesting approach with your contest entry...It certainly imparts the feeling of being in the grip and mercy of powerful currents. Best of luck! My regards. :) john
