Deliver Me

I seek rank
Baptize myself for a sound & solemn dream
Rob my soul with greed
Humble my pride – wear it a crown
Chew my humility to gum – swallow it
Design a melodious tune
A hymn of misfortune
(Creating a chain of misfortune for myself)
There’s a heat burning my righteousness
Embracing shame – clasping hardships in the arms with affection
Protecting me from honor – loyalty with treachery
My homeland of blessing going to destruction
Deliver me Oh Lord
