shambolic
          delirium
            these thoughts
               building within
                  as the world crumbles
                      around me
                         like trees
                             unstable
                                 from storms
                                     emotions
                                         building up
                                             before erupting
                                                 through the hush of silence
                                                               cries
                                                          muffled in anguish

I don't know what happened with the original it kept appearing and disappearing on me... some could see it, some could not, and if I would edit I could see it one minute and then not the next so figured it was easier to redo the poem... thank you for your kind words, for hosting the contest and for the win :) hugs

Sandra Adams June 6, 2020 at 9:27 PM Thank you so much Vijay... the muse has been fickle and on top of the virus and protests, we had days of violent storms that downed trees and wires and left us in the dark 3 days, some people are still in the dark and there was so much damage they have so many wires to replace they called in troops from other states to help... hugs
