Delirium

Abandon all thoughts of reason
for they are only an illusion created 
from dreams of your reality,
Madness caused by calenture 
as you rant hysterically,
your mind wanders within a mist 
of delusion and rage,
creating a void between you and loved ones,

distancing themselves from you 
as you become crazed
from your hallucinations and figments 
of shadows that don't exist,
as the sickness begins to worsen in time 
and you become more incoherent
to those that try to help 

but delirious you've become with no hope of returning
to your old self as you begin to slip away 
into darkness realm without any hope
as your eyes begin to close and breathing stop,
releasing you of your suffering and pain 
as your essence ascend into the great abyss to be free.
