Delightful Excersion
Fragile basket in one hand,
flip flops in the other.
We stroll to the sea and
pop up the umbrella cover.
Seagulls surround while
dogs frolic freely,
the ocean clear and vibrant
my eyes blue steely.
Strawberries brilliant red
Mangos sliced and fresh
Food that cools the tongue
the hot weather does not rest.
Peppered crackers
topped with cheese
cold cold beer
while feel the breeze.
Time stands still
As we savor a peach
Nowhere to go
But our picnic on the beach.
