Thanks Tony - dad has terminal cancer and is in hospice - he went in for 'respite' a week ago and was due to come home today - sadly he has deteriorated so much we now know he will never return home - I am blessed to still have them both - dad 90 mum 92:-) Hugs jan xx

I wrote my first poem 'Splendid Isolation' after my hubby underwent cancer surgery at the end of 2013 - i posted a few poems on a friends 2facedbook - someone saw them and suggested i post here - took me a month to pluck up the courage - wow what a journey - learning so much a bout poetry, and me and it is helping me through the worst time of my life with my dad terminally ill at the moment:-( I Can express my emotions like I never have done before:-) hugs jan xxx

Wow jan, that's alot of poetry your a prolific writer..I don't have Half that amount..do everthing real slow lol heck it took me 3 Months to right one poem three pages long ..a time a place a moment..every word has to be just right..started in 1996 after oj trial......it is what it is glad I'm here sharing with you hugs 2 u..tony

I do have cold hands and feet - but not that bad lol - The avatar is actually a blue dragonfly - I have used it since I wrote a poem called 'Dragonflies Dancing' one of my earlier writes where I tried really hard with my imagery - have come a long way in a year just posted my 500th poem last weekend - starting to write in Feb 2014 is helping me through the most traumatic period of my life:-( hugs jan xx
