Delicate Queen Anne

delicate queen anne

a lovely meadow garnish

dainty and lacy

calls forth memory delight

grandparents' well-loved prairie

I have a pen of them that used to be for dogs, but now is fulol of them, so when I look out while I am painting I think I am at my grandparents' farm.

I have such a memory occurrence with (oh, name certainty isn't working), clover (I think) that is a prominent ground cover in Virginia and was longed for by me when living elsewhere. Your tanka, to me, is a splendid and delightful reminder of how our senses hold memories, a sight, sound, smell - lot's of olfactory captured ones, even feel and taste. I enjoyed spending time on this page, Caren. I hope your Christmas was joy-laced and love-embraced, also that u r enjoying time off. CayCay

I was sad to read that you aren't feeling well. I sorry 'bout that and hope it changes quick, quick, quickly! I'll be thinking about you. CayCay

Thank you Cay-Cay. I have enjoyed my time off immensely, and if I was well in the least I would so be ready to return to work. I trust that you have had a marvelous holiday my friend. Keep enjoying it!

Love the Tanka, Caren. You've made research the bloom, I didn't know it was eatable and high in sugar beside being a beautiful bloom. Nicely done :) May your new year be very blessed. Hugs Eve~`*

Thank you Silent One. I love Queen Anne's Lace so much; i have a little field of it and will let no one touch it. Being at my grandparents was such a wonderful adventure, they let me run wild there. I was outside all day long.
