Delia In British Open 2015

In the Disney cartoon movie called Mulan... Was a poignant scene if ever there was one... There were wise loving words spoken from the heart... From a father who read and understood his daughter's hurt.... After Mulan had failed miserably at her matchmaking ceremony. .. She approached him for his forgiving love and sympathy... Picking out a flower bud that's yet to bloom, the sage of a father he said... The flower that blooms late is the rarest of them all... That you assuredly are, Delia Arnold, you are a rare one... Your 1 week of stupendous squash was the talk of the squash town... As your incredible winning exploits surpassed expectations in all... Like a late blossoming flower, you tenaciously presevered to beat all... Those feats you achieved had grossly defied imagination... Removing those worldly giants in women squash action...... Alison Waters, Annie Au and then Raneem El Weleily... The last being World ranked ranked no.2 and with skills so silky.. Your inspired run of matches had ousted higher seeded players... Till a petulant Nour Sherbini and Raneem did announce in twitter... This ain't their tournament and they sounded slightly bitter... Their parting shot was the ominous declaration that they'll back later.. Well done for a week of superlative squash performances... Here's hoping in Malaysian squash you'll continue to blossom... Hip, hip, hooray for Malaysia squash ladies. ... Low Wee Wern and Nicol David, in your exalted company.... Roll out your welcome mat for here comes Delia Arnold for company...
