Deja Vu

Déjà vu hit me hard One day As I sat in Your arms Looking into those Brown eyes Nostalgia making me Dizzy Like I’ve been Here before Surrounded in your love Drowning in a Familiar smell Like my Great grandmas’ Biscuits On a cold morning Our skin touch And a feeling Like when I Rode a carousel For the first time Brings goosebumps Up my arms When we hold Hands I Experience a Flashback Of a past life Or the future Maybe neither The words “I do” Are coming From my lips You smile Tears sliding Down your face Utter bliss How With all the distractions In this world Did I find you? Your spirit Is as sweet As the sugarcanes I loved when I was young A fire so Strong burns through you Anyone can notice it With all my faults You see right through to me so if I been here before I hope I never left
