Deity Dudes

Deity Dudes Do you believe some bearded deity Looks after you with Love, and pity? Do you believe this to be true? Yet only while you love him too? Isn't it odd – all the same, you believe in god from where you came And authority doth lie with old men that, wear long gowns and amusing hats Seems it began in them old bronze age days Someone to blame for human pain I think it might be even earlier still when man first farmed and possibly tilled? Plenty of time to watch cloud and star... … following the reasoning thus far...? Imagine a time to think and fret about such things as life and death If gods controlled man or hereafter and everything else including weather And as we played this philosophical game other people did precisely the same Resulting in damned religious wars mine is real... sadly brother... not yours
