Defined By Struggle
Defined by struggle.
I've learned to endure.
To persevere.
I've been battered. broken. torn.
But i'm not afraid of what's in store.
Not anymore.
I will not lose hope.
I cannot lose sight.
I've gained the strength through the years that I need to endure.
My heart's been scorned.
I cannot erase the past where I have weeped and I have mourned.
But today I will move forward.
I won't let you kill me.
I won't be held down.
You will no longer grip me around my throat.
I will not lose hope.
Clearing my path.
It's time for me to have the last laugh.
Looking to see what is ahead of me.
I won't be blinding by inability.
The strength inside of me will lead me in the right direction.
Stand aside and watch as I put your false perception of me to rest.
My darkest hour has passed.
I'm finished with your tests.
Everyday a struggle.
God I know that you are not finished with me yet.
But when my time comes I will have zero regrets.
My life is defined by struggle.
Perseverence.
I won't give up.
