Defeated!
Can this really be true?
To have an amazing day
when a few years ago
I never thought I'd reach it.
A day of all days
to look and see how far I've come.
There's a new world for me
this week
and I'm taking it
as it comes.
My foot is getting wet
as it's touching the water
but this water is refreshing
unlike my acid rain.
Soothing my soul
and giving me peace and serenity
that I deserve.
This is where my journey continues
and hopefully
it will never end.
See me climb
and see me soar
and conquer and defeat it all.
