Deep Woods

Symphony in woods
of whispering leaves
misty morning shades
awakening the world
gifting a new dawn.
Sitting under a loner
tree, on cushioned
dry leaves, scribbled
line of lyrics for
each falling leaf.
Hug trees to bosom
with closed eyes,
feel serene soothing
pleasure deep in nerves.
Meditating trees awaiting
fragrance of soil
first rain spreads
to shed all worries
summer jolts gave.
If I could be a bird
fly to branches
kiss tender leaves
play with squirrels
sleep tonight with trees
swinging away fears.
