Deep Within Our Hearts

Buried for eternity
in locked vaults
deep within our hearts
   lies the pain
   the anguish
   unutterable
   of hard-won
   experience...

Or so we think, until
   the faint scars
   ever so slightly
   are pricked
~ and bleed profusely
