Deep In the Woods

Deep in the woods,

the branches dance in the wind,

wild and free,

Spreading their fragrance for

you and me.

Wild flowers sway,

as the wind try's picking them up,

Their roots planted firmly,

as they flow from side to side,

showing us all their glory,

and our makers touch inside,

shadows follow as they calmly go slow,

Deep in the woods,

time is well known,

as night takes hold,

until the morning,

when light takes control.

betty, I just had to see this one because I have poem with the exact same title, but it's a completely different kind of poem, VERY dark and I may enter it in PD's latest contest. Anyway, I love the beautiful message of your poem of this title!!
