Deep Down Inside I Have the Soul of a Poet
Read my words and understand each line
Go over them and remember them in time
It will be a surprise to see the real me
Will you understand how it makes me feel free
Looks are deceiving and I know I don’t show it
But deep down inside I have the soul of a poet
Look at my face and see my smile
With pen and paper I can write for quite a while
Rhymes raps poems or a song
It’s just me being me is it right or is it wrong
Looks are deceiving and I know I don’t show it
But deep down inside I have the soul of a poet
Look at my hands dry like a bone
I reveal my art like a sculptor carves in stone
Will you accept me or tear me apart
In every word I write I put in my whole heart
Looks are deceiving and I know I don’t show it
But deep down inside I have the soul of a poet
Look at my eyes and what do they hide
Your average Joe But with a lyricist inside
Look at me ears I get inspired by what I hear
Just love me for who I am is the message totally clear
