Deep Death Debilitating Dreams


Oh take my hand this eternal sleep for my sorrows weep bondage of yesterday
Black veils demand my soul to keep as they are thirsty and sweep my core away
Succulent of my being escaping thoughts in tangled knots admits rains of gray
Marauding music dwell the sounds of emptiness confounds the silenced stray
Harbinger of hell hath no bounds as it punitively pounds wounds wilted weigh

Melancholy maids in the mist begotten brides with tenacious tides everlasting
Within the darkness, we exist amongst great divides as our solitude slides fasting
Beautiful baneful banishing lost in forever of the nefarious never of my grasping
Resurrecting river of death in your endeavor with banks of clever evil surpassing
Pillaging my benignant breath as you sever and take pleasure my abysmal assassin

With a title like that, it's hard not to click on...and wow, what a beautiful poem. I am enamored my friend. Great is your use of alliteration throughout - my favorite moment in this piece is "escaping thoughts in tangled knots admits rains of gray" What an immense line. Keep letting those "rains of gray" flow! It's good for the soul. Poetry is so healing! Always, Laura
