Deeds of Good People

DEED I

Be courteous and helpful
to the blind woman,
or man who's unable to cross
the street as a scary cat;
they often wait at the traffic light
for the kindest person,
to grasp their hand until
they are on the other side.

DEED II

See folks struggling
with the heavy grocery bags;
don't be embarrassed to ask them...
if they need a hand to carry them to their door.

DEED III

Give a dollar to the homeless while catching the bus or train:
" Thank you and God bless " will make your busy day!

DEED IV

Shoving the snow on a stormy day for the elderly who are afraid to come out:
watch them smile behind the frosty windows!
