Dedication To a New Future

Every year is a new chance,
To do better with our lives,
But my life is still empty,
Without you here by my side.

I keep hoping that this is the year,
Will be different from all the past,
And you will be closer,
To all the rest.

A part of me wants to believe,
That our lives will be,
As one as couples should be,
However only with time will we see.

Take these words and charish them,
Cause I want you to be,
The only one to touch my heart,
And proves that what I am feeling,
Is not a joke or a tease.

You could be my wife,
In the years to come,
If you want to show my heart,
That these feelings are so very true,
And my feelings are not stupid or dumb.

Cause true love takes time to build,
And takes hard work to keep it alive,
But if we both want it bad enough,
We can keep our hopes and dreams,
Pretty much alive.
