Decisions
Thinking back to all the decisions I made
I knew the debt would have to be paid
I knew it then and I know it now
Would I have made them anyhow
All that was adds up to now
So decisions made in haste or youth
That brought us to our current truth
Must be faced cannot be denied
But could become a useful guide
If only I could find the wisdom
And the vision to make revision
Accept what is, honor the past
Create a future unsurpassed
But more than likely the future will come
And as always I will succumb
After failing to make the needed revisions
Wondering why I made those decisions
I am who I am and will never learn
To make decisions that don’t cause concern
The past and the present seem not much different
It appears the future though contingent
On today’s ability to make commitment
Will leave me wondering quite dismayed
Thinking back to all the decisions I made
