Deception
staring deep into his eyes
he can see through all my lies
in all my years of youth
I have hidden the truth
so far I've deceived them all
he’s the one who will not fall
no matter how hard I try
he will not believe the lie
he’s not that bad a catch
I've finally met my match
his eyes pierce into my soul
I need him to make me whole
but my love he will not take
I fear that my heart will break
I just wish that he could see
we are meant to be
as I stare into his eyes
I speak the truth, no more lies
