Decembers Swan Song
The darkness extends
As the sun descends
To partial ellipse
And deep cold now grips
Penetrating core
Skeletal trees’
Dark silhouettes
Against pale sky
In waiting sleep
Burst of lights
Signal makes
Indicates
Old year
Comes to
End
