December Rain

I look up in the sky and i watch the December rain
fall down on me.
the sweet December rain falling on me.
I haven't thought that my life wasn't good enough
for people.
I always thought I wanted to leave my memories
behind.
was my life or my memories really mine.
I thought I didn't have a home to stay in.
I always thought I was just a wanderer looking for a
home.
I close my eyes and wonder about this life in the rain.
should I be tried for things from the past from my
life.
If so everything is just a joke.
I deserve something in my life.
should I care for my life.but should I put everything
on the line.
should I smile or should I walk away from my memories.
but I deserve something in this life.
Is there really something here for me.
But I wonder, will there be a place for me in this world.
but I open my eyes and wonder in the sky and wonder
if my life is truly mine.

David, please "smile" and "walk away from memories" that trouble you. Rain always makes me introspective, too. But your life IS truly yours. Check out "Unicorn." It is about the struggle to gain control over one's life. I wrote it long ago, but the meaning still holds. This is a very thoughtful verse! Love, Carolyn
