December

The first of December
the weather was dreary
the clouds hung lifeless
a muted grey filled the sky
snowflakes dropped slowly
in a straight free fall
stillness in the breeze
coldness gripped the air
pinched the nostrils
numbed the cheeks
winter had truly arrived
thoughts of summer
lay heavily on the mind.

A lovely description of winter in December where you live, whereas this month is our first a month of Summer. I would love to experience a white Christmas, but we sit around a swimming pool trying to cool down! A blessed Christmas to you and your family my friend. Hugs Jennifer.
