Deceit

I may be red,
But she is dead.

Then he just left her there beside me,
Down by the roots of the big oak tree.

I have really sharp black thorns that hurt,
While she's decked in a torn blouse and skirt.

While he left with the heart that he broke,
She had words that she never spoke.

While she lies dead in the old bayou,
The words that she'd say were: I Love You.

Now that this sad story has come to an end,
I hope your heart isn't broken by your best friend.
