Decapitated Dreams

Never again Shall I pretend That my life's great and everlasting The only thing keeping my heart warm Left me here I'm cold I'm collapsing My legs are getting stiff I can't feel up to my knees Please get me out of this nightmare Please make this all a dream The numbness has spread now It's about mid-chest Soon I'll rest and feel nothing at all But I don't want to leave I try to stand up But my arms do not work anymore My neck has gave way I'm cold and I'm scared But I then heard you walk in the room I then got happy Hoping you would help me.... But you covered my face... Now i sleep... Decapitated Dreams by Michael Byron Dale Hamilton

Hi Michael welcome to the soup, I like this one as well, if I could suggest that it is not ABC that means you are using the alaphebet in succesion, I would class this as free verse, but I like the journey you take us with it...keep writing...David
