Debt

DEBT

Slowly creeping up
Under my watch not a single hair follicle jumped

A beautiful leopard at a distance
And I lost in the moment
Birds flipping their wings
As though applauding to this cause
Yet evident are the rings under my eyes
Bags of horror and misery
One perhaps would say unnecessary

My priorities were blinded totally misplaced
Now am in it, am seriously in for it

See I didn't plan to get here
I work hard to not get here
Hell I work extra to not be here
But somehow it all led me here and yes I mean the hard work, the hustle the getting ahead

That which I saw was far from beauty
Now Its clear that was a sting under my skin

And now this thing is with me all the time
Am under it, it's around me
A shadow never seeming to leave me
A shake never drying my fur

How now can I escape this air that I created
It was a place of fun once,
The spending, the smiles
I was there
But now am here
Curtains are down
I can't pay it back
Not on my own
A monster I can't feed
Too much for me to service
