Deaths Ride

A riding storm approaches and in its consuming mists, 
rides upon a broad steed
death holding life's reigns in his grip 
he towers over mountains 
seeps through doors
flowing over the world like a river or a storm 
taking life's defenses 
smothering the flame
consuming thoughts roaming through out my brain
ride unto my door step 
death knocks upon the door 
he kisses my lips and helps me by far 
I climb upon his dark steed 
and off to the mist do we ride 
death taking life and I
