Death's Hope
I need you more than ever
You said You'd be there
Where are You then?
When will You return?
My soul is screaming
But I hear nothing
Every time I cry
There is silence
You said You'd never leave
Then why can't I see You?
Why can't I hear You?
Why can't I feel Your face?
I stare into the void
There is nothing left to lose
Nothing left to feel
I jump into the darkness
I feel a hand grab mine
A light fills my soul
Words fill my heart
and intoxicate my mind
I hear His voice
It's singing
'Don't give up my child
I have never left you
My voice was drowned by lies
My love, covered by sin
'Now you are free
Chains will never bind you
Leave you fears behind
The hate no longer fills you
'You are not condemned
To the hot fires of Hell
Your soul can now take flight
Your heart my rise again
'Take my hand
The night grows colder
I shall keep you warm
I will give you life
'Fall into my arms young one
Let my strength carry you
You need no one else
You'll want nothing else
'Cry on my breast
I'll hold you forever
Nothing will touch you
No one can harm you'
All at once I feel the power
His fire consumes me
His love engulfs my heart
