Death She Comes Knocking
Death she has sweetly come calling
Whispering words of compassion in my ear
She promises to love me
All my tears she'll wipe away
Stretching out her hand
As if saying come with me dear one
I have a lot to show you
Life as you know it has only just begun
I stand before her with decisions
I must wisely make
If I choose to go with her
My loved ones here behind they must stay
Never quite knowing what is to be
Shall I take this blinding leap
Or shall I sit and ponder
All that I have to lose or gain
Death she is a sweet release
Or so I have been told
A break from life which is a beautiful lie
Which you live until death comes knocking at our doors
