Death Rides a Stick Horse
Death Rides a Stick Horse

Protected by the haven of calm, some gloss of life yet remains,
But much has scampered to a place called past,
Leaving us nearing the age void of remembrance;
In each life, clemency’s hand is ever present,
As death lurks in the shadows perfecting its somber tune,
And announcing boldly your day is coming,
But never cease to live before your time to die.
While thoughts push us toward the sands of isolation,
Life’s greatest obstacles remain,
Those internal thoughts that stalk every man;
