Death of the Drama Queen

They gathered to say goodbye Shell shocked and wondering why The great Drama Queen was dead She was found that way in bed Didn’t think she’d follow through But her frustration grew and grew No one could hear her heart’s cry Now they stood wondering why How could she take her own life? She...the good mother and wife For her, the “drama” was real She chose to die not to feel That moment, life’s closing act She’d left her greatest impact This life is only a stage Scripted drama on each page Done “acting” she now could rest Drama Queen played THIS role best Eileen Manassian Ghali

A hopeless dramatic? I reckon so. Life sets the stage...and we set the mood. I hope you've had a pleasant weekend, Eileen.

Drama, indeed! This had a lot of truth it. Brushing off someone's personality as hopelessly dramatic (and maybe it's true, but that drama is as powerful and real as the person wants it to be) isn't a good idea. I can't fathom feeling this way, but I feel for those that do... I only pray they have to courage to say no to the temptation... it's one of the few things you CAN'T walk back from...

;) Oh Timothy...you are so insightful! I tend to be dramatic...and I speak from experience....one day...they will realize what THEY call dramatic, is real life for me! ;)

Lost in her own act without ending..That really describes a drama queen playong the victim but never is..Well penned-Creative thoughts .

Well, this is more than that, Charma...the Drama Queen isn't being that way on purpose...that is who she is.

Disturbing and beautiful at the same time, Eileen...I like how you refuse to judge her for her act which shows much insight and wisdom on your part - Tim

Thanks, Tim........a piece of my life in this one. We never know if the Drama is real or make believe, but we must always give the benefit of the doubt! ;)

Fantastic job, Eileen! I agree with Drake - very catchy title, and you handled this topic very well. "No one could hear her heart's cry" - That line sums it up beautifully, I think.

Yes, Heather....and that line is so true. It shocks me sometimes at how selective we are in our hearing....

The Drama queen chose wrong. It is a shame when people choose a permanent solution for a temporary problem. Catchy title and cleverly scripted.
