Death Is No Excuse
This is a true story- as unbelievable as it seems.
"What do mean he didn't pay his rent?" the boss did say...
"Well he had died, and could not sign checks...let me explain
if I may..."
He'd terminated his contract early
And would not pay any fines,
And never the less the owner
Pointed at the contract's lines
The manager had failed to make a dead man pay
And had to bear the cost
For such an unlucky day
Seems death is no excuse
For paying not your bills
And dead or alive doesn't matter,
If he succumbed to terminal ills
He owes for early termination
How dare he break this rule?
And if you try to justify this,
I'll know you are a fool.
